Lauren & Justin
I've been wanting to share this wedding for a while. I love covering these sorts of weddings, simple, from the heart and to the point. Lauren and Justin had me the minute Lauren mentioned they were getting married in the street Justin grew up in. A street wedding!!! In the heart of pretty Fremantle no less. I felt so lucky and grateful to have been a part of it, to just witness the love they have for each other. The rain held off until after the ceremony but it kind of didn't stop after that, lucky we could take shelter in the house and ventured out a few times to take some portraits before heading off to the beautiful Guild Hall for the rece ...

Loved photographing for these 2. I nearly didn't telling Michelle I was unavailable and away for her wedding day, it was by chance she emailed again a while later just to see if maybe I'd become available. Lucky for both of us I hope. What a day! Dress by Rachel Gilbert, blooms by The Wildflower and venue The Como in Perth city.

2016
Here are but a few, a snippet, man it's hard to choose favourites from last year. I have loved photographing for all my beautiful couples, have been able to squeeze in some personal work which I'm so grateful for, am sharing a beautiful little space with 2 of my favourite people, so when I look at 2016 that way it's been utter magic. There were some bumps personally but gosh what are they if we learn from them, I know it's been like that for a few people, 2016 was tricky like that. Here's to 2017, filled with travel and more personal work and shooting for more amazing people. I'm lucky enough to be heading to Singapore in June and France in J ...

Lauren & Michael
I met Lauren and Michael at a coffee shop in Leederville for the first time only days before their wedding. We had a coffee and chatted about the timing of their day. I was so excited when she wrote to me months before saying they were getting ready together, it was as fun as we thought it was going to be. If you wannoo get ready together, why not right?  And while you're at it why not also walk down the aisle together. The rest of the day was just as cool. I guess I love Lauren and Michael. Vendors included the very lovely Studio Event Design, Paolo Sebastian, La Lune Cinema, Fox and Rabbit, Bib and Tucker and the very cool Micktric Events ...

Ez & Stu
This wedding was a little different for me.  Erin is one half of the super cool chicks over at Ilka and we share a studio space together with Melissa Soraya and the girls from Mitchell & Dent/Studio Bomba and Virgil Coffee.  We love working together and life is so good over at #324Oxford.  So when Erin announced she was going to be a bride it was amazing for all of us.  She made her own wedding dress btw.   I mentioned to Ez a few weeks before the wedding that one of my dreams would be photographing a bride and groom getting ready together, she loved the idea and it was then decided that on the morning of the wedding her and Stu would hav ...

Sometimes in this job you get to certain weddings that just take you on a ride.  All you can do is just hold on and go with it.  This was one of them.  The whole thing was just amazing, right up until the end when we left with cupcakes and we'd just been dancing to Horses with Daryl Braithwaite (well I danced, I'm sure Kirsty just stood in the back). Beautiful people.  So grateful to have been able to capture their Valentines day wedding. Loved all the work by Rebecca Grace, Natural Art on this event. Florals Natural Art Flowers   ...

This wedding was also recently featured on Hello May, you can see the post HERE. Entirely shot on Leica Rangefinder equipment including some of the colour on film which won't mean much to most of you but I loved this wedding because of Bec and Stu's complete trust in me covering it the way I loved to photograph.  They are supercool humans and we had the best time.  Find details of all vendors at the bottom of Hello May's blog post.
